i still want to be an outlaw cowboy.

man. sleep continues to tempt me, though it is only 8pm. i only got three hours of sleep last night...but the lack of sleep was a good exchange for much needed conversation with dan. i think it was at least....but I refuse to type about that right now.
these past few days have been awsome for the band. awsome new shows booked....new distribution through Miles Of Music and contact from some labels who are interested. Our show at kryptonite was great. it could not have gone any better. We finally have a steady place to play in rockford that is super cool. And after the show we made contacts with The Snaggs and Harmony Riley and set up some shows with them.
I didnt get around to bloggin' lastnight because i was talking with dan so late....i did get uncle nicks though...and it was tasty as always.
Got to hang out with Trish all night too. being with her is always an endless smile for me. love that girl. <

Brian was kind enough to share the little blog comment thing he found with me. here is what to do...
below every post next to my name where there is a link that says "shout out".....if you would like you can click that and leave any comments you wish about that particular post or anything for that matter. go nuts.

Also...almost everyday i read Bob Dylan lyrics for a while because they are fairly good, as far as lyrics go.
if i feel so led i may just post a song that i think is cool every now and then for your reading enjoyment.
here is the first.

Seen a shooting star tonight
And I thought of you.
You were trying to break into another world
A world I never knew.
I always kind of wondered
If you ever made it through.
Seen a shooting star tonight
And I thought of you.

Seen a shooting star tonight
And I thought of me.
If I was still the same
If I ever became what you wanted me to be
Did I miss the mark or
Over-step the line
That only you could see?
Seen a shooting star tonight
And I thought of me.

Listen to the engine, listen to the bell
As the last fire truck from hell
Goes rolling by, all good people are praying,
It's the last temptation
The last account
The last time you might hear the sermon on the mount,
The last radio is playing.

Seen a shooting star tonight
Slip Away.
Tomorrow will be another day.
Guess it's too late to say the things to you
That you needed to hear me say.
Seen a shooting star tonight
Slip away.

"You gonna do something?...or just stand there and bleed"

anyway.

not a very exciting day. this will be a short blog. dont feel much like typing...the only reason im doing it is because dan reminded me and i didnt feel like arguing.
Woke up. made some updates on the breathing machine website. recorded some crap on the computer for the acoustic show...then practiced for the acoustic show over at the Hensel's house. chilled over there for a while then watched Tombstone back at my house with Cory Rick and Matt.
now i feel like a cowboy bad-ass who doesnt want to type and just wants to sleep.
okay. thats all for now.
i will be blogging from Rockford tomarrow night...with uncle nicks in hand. i just cant wait
ciao.

Noon never felt so early.
i rolled over in bed this morning to see that my clock was flashing 9:32...and then glancing across the room at another clock that read 12:18 (not flashing)...
some how my clock..and my clock alone...lost power during the night but then attained it again. it was actully 12:18...not 9:32...but it felt really early.
i stumbled out of bed and over to the computer. check my email...some other websites...no one was on AIM...so i went an collapsed down in bed again.
eventually Rick came upstairs and informed me that we were leaving to go to the Golden Basket to eat w/ cory. (the golden basket is our day time hang out. Very good food, very good prices, and a very hot hostess) after that i went home and Matt and I went shopping for new CD players for his car. Didnt find anything...but we did get to test this stated-of-the-art home entertainment system that simulates the motion of the movie you are watching. Your seat vibrates...raises up...then drops...leans fowards and backwards...it was nuts...i about screamed when it all started going because i had know idea what was going to happen. It all felt so real too....nothing was over exagerated or annoying...just enought to feel like you were the character in the action sequence. technology is just getting crazy these days.
after that i went home and did some stuff then had dinner with rick there. we had band practice for our acoustic show at 8pm...practiced straight till 12:30...got a ton done.
our show is sounding so good. we trying a lot of new things with different instruments. i am excited for everyone to see it. after that we went to the webb until we were so tired we couldnt had to leave...which leads me here.
now i must call Dahn and then fall asleep.

back to society and normal plumbing. whew.
fun weekend in Babbit, MN. Lots of fun. not going to go over every detail of the trip...but here is the low-down.
Left Friday at about noon and embarked on the 8 hour journey north. stopped in Duluth to pick up Cory's cousin Aaron. Then drove the rest of the way to Babbit. Arrived at Cory's Grandma's house and then headed over the Hide Away bar where we usually play up there. caught a good Blues band..I forgot the name though. Sorry.
Saturday we went to the near by town of Ely and had lunch and did some shopping and walking around there. It is a town that could be in a less commercial Door County. After that we went a casino about 40min away and caught a BTO (Bachman-Turner Overdrive) concert.--known for hits such as "takin' care of buisness" and
"you ain"t seen nothin' yet." Their show was actually very good. We ate at the casino after and then went back over to the Hide Away where the blues band was playing again. They had us hop the stage with them and we jammed some "No Woman, No Cry."...its good to jam with random (and really talented) musicians.
Then watched a Roy Orbison video at grandma's
Sunday did church and then easter lunch. it was a good/filling meal. then just played music all afternoon and watched TV at night.
Today we got up and were going to take showers....but the septic tank flooded...so that idea came to a screeching hault...we then moved out very dirty bodies into the car and had a long but very conversational (is that a word?) drive home. I love talking with Cory.
i finally got showerd. I smell so good. Im listening to some jeff tweedy while typing this. i am probably going to just lay low around the house the rest of the night. Any other events of today will remain a mystery unless i talk to you on the phone. muahhah.
