what a great night.
when to see a rock show in greenbay---and boy was it a rock show.
The Obsoletes opened the evening up. they played well.
then the sound guy played some acoustic songs.
then the house was brought down by The Figgs and Tommy Stinson (formerly of the replacements)
it was one of the tightest live performances ive ever seen. every part of their performance pulled off with near perfection....
The songs were great. Just a great show over all....and i didnt expect i to be THAT amazing....so it seemed even better.
So...go see the Figgs and or Tommy Stinson if they are ever in your area.
okay. time for beddy.
adios.

what a lame night.
went to see cheap trick in oshkosh and it got rained out.
then went cory's parent's house and watche the MTV video music awards. that was the worst idea ever.
i hate MTV and most everything going on in mainstream music/entertainment....
Johnny Cash was nominated for a bunch of stuff but won nothing. big suprise. maybe next year he should just get naked
and have someone else write his songs for him. thats seems to be the formula to achieving success and awards.
Time to go buy a thong........
BUT...there is this movie coming out Sept. 12th called "Once apon a time in mexico"
it looks very cool....
it looks like it is staring Johnny Depp.....
cant go wrong with that.
time for bed. hard day aluminizing.
over and izout.

Currenty listening to "Bringing it all back home" by bob dylan. such a good record. everysong is just sweet. recording quality is so cool sounding too. k
thats it.

I just discovered using Internet Radio through Internet Explorer/windows media. Maybe im late to jump on this train, but it is an amazing thing. Tons of stations from all over the world that you can search through all divided up by style of music. great way to find new music in any genera. im listening to KEXP in seattle right now. Good station. okay. enough banter from me.
over and out.

Current thought running through my head::::::::::::::::Not having a car can be a real big bitch sometimes.
Worked today on a roof. Got a little too much sun. whoop. tomorrow i will know better. So apparently there is this government organization called OSHA thats job is to "save lives, prevent injuries and protect the health of America's workers." And boy, do they do their job, and do it very undercover.
So as we were working on this roof today we got a call from the company that contracted out Josh's company and told us we were not working under the proper saftey regulations stated by OSHA. OSHA's spys had been driving by and watching us.
So we had to put up these annoying plastic flag/streamer/rope things that in my opinion do nothing to help make things safer.
We had to have these things up near the edge of the roof.....and they hang at about waist heighth from these metal tri-pod things that are about every 25 feet. Now we had to work on both sides of the plastic flag/streamer/rope things because the edge of the roof need work done to it....and this edging had to be done while sitting on your knees....and get this....someone could only work on the edge if someone was watching them. just watching. I understand the idea of saftey in the work place...especially on something that is a little more dangerous....like a roof. But the saftely stipulations they set up wouldnt seem to do much. the plastic flag/streamer/rope thing wont catch you if you fall of the ledge....and if your working on the other side of the plastic flag/streamer/rope thing it wouldnt help anyway....and just watch your co-worker while he does the edge work?....i guess i see the point....but it seems a little silly. So we had to follow these guide lines otherwise the OSHA spies would report us a kick us off the roof....which doesnt seem like the safe way to handle things. all of this is only a big deal because i would barely call the plastic flag/streamer/rope things mobile....they are really a huge pain in the butt to move and it takes a lot of time.
whatever. money in the bank. blog post on the blog. something to read. hope you enjoyed.
over and out.
